Event Information

Policy Debate: Varsity and Novice divisions; any debaters in their first year of high school competition may enter the novice division. Mutually preferred judging will be used in the varsity division, with an emphasis on mutuality. Two prelims Friday evening (5pm, 7pm); four prelims plus octas on Saturday; quarters, semis, and finals on Sunday. TOC bid for finalists.

Lincoln-Douglas: Open division. Four prelims on Saturday only; school restrictions removed.

Public Forum: Open division. Three prelims Friday evening (5pm, 6pm, and 7:30pm); three prelims and all elims on Saturday. February topic; strikes, but not prefs, for judges. TOC bid for finalists.

Congressional Debate: Open division. Because this is our first year offering Congress, we are running a Saturday scrimmage schedule: 

Session 1: 8:00-9:30; Session 2: 10:00-11:30; Awards: 11:45. Our goal is small chambers, lots of speaking and feedback, and an emphasis on education and collaboration.
