2024 Service Project & Award

In the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, Kingwood High School Speech & Debate will be collecting canned goods to donate to local food shelters in our area. We invite each school participating in our tournament to assist in this cause by bringing donations to our tournament as well. Collection bins will be set up in specific areas on campus throughout the weekend. In addition to doing a good thing for our community, the school with the largest donations will also be awarded a special trophy as a commemoration for their efforts in this service project.

We will be collecting unopened, unexpired items for HAAM for the Thanksgiving season. All donations are appreciated, but HAAM is also seeking these items specifically (High need items are BOLDED):

Canned Beans
Canned fruit (low sugar)
Canned meat (tuna or chicken)
Canned vegetables (low sodium)
Cereal
1 Pound – Dry Beans
Macaroni & Cheese
Pasta
Tomato Sauce
Peanut Butter
Soups (canned or dry)

Toothbrushes
Toothpaste (Full Size or Travel)
Razors
Shampoo/Conditioner (Full Size or Travel)
Shaving Cream
Lotion
Deodorant
Bar Soap – Full Size
Toilet Paper
