We are excited to invite WISDAA member middle + high schools to participate in our State Debate Festival.

Debate Categories & Entry Fees

  • World Schools Debate (3-5 students* = an entry); $15/entry
    in a Worlds round, 3 students may speak

All schools are expected to provide adjudicators or payfees for uncovered adjudicators.

Topics

  • Impromptu topic area: animals in captivity
  • Prepared motion: This house would make the November Election Day a national holiday.

Adjudicators & Uncovered Adjudicator Fees

Each school should provide adjudicators (judges) equivalent to the number of entries (or fraction thereof) participating during a given time slot. Those requirements are:

  • Worlds: 1 adjudicator per 2 entries or fraction thereof

Uncovered adjudicator slots will be assessed a $100 fee per adjudicator not provided.

8:45 PM Claim Medals

Awards

Medals for each student on a team:

3 Wins = Gold 2 Wins = Silver 1 Win = Bronze Participant = Copper
