District Student of the Year - Awarded to the student who embodies the NSDA values of humility, integrity, leadership, respect and service.

- Awarded to Eric Lee from Monta Vista High School 

 

District Coach of the Year - This award annually honors high school coaches who reflect outstanding leadership and commitment to speech and debate activities in our district.

-Awarded to BJ Cruz form Archbishop Mitty High School 

 

Assistant Coach of the Year - This award recognizes an exemplary high school coach serving at an NSDA member school.

-Awarded to Ryan Mills from Archbishop Mitty High School

 

New Coach of the Year - This award recognizes an exemplary high school coach who is in their first year of NSDA membership. 

-Awarded to Tyler Vergho from Bellarmine College Prep

 

District Principal/Administator of the Year - This is awarded to the principal/administrator who has succeeded in providing high quality opportunities for students in speech and debate as well as demonstrating exemplary contributions to the profession.

- Awarded to Peter Park from Leland High School

 

District Alumni Achievement Award - Awarded to a speaker and/or debater from our district who has utilized their talents to achieve success for themselves and our community. 

-Awarded to Eric Foster from Palo Alto High School 

 

District Communicator of the Year - The award is given to the individual who utilizes their gifts in speech and or debate talents to profoundly impact the lives of others.

-Awarded to Catherine Tong from Notre Dame San Jose 

 

District Volunteer of the Year - this award is given to an individual who has given extraordinary time and talents to the mission of involving more students in speech and debate.
