Debate times are when the actual debate should BEGIN, and should be no later than 15 minutes after notifications have been sent out (earlier is strongly encouraged!).

1) Schems for debaters use CODE NUMBERS vs school/initial(s).  Judges should not ask what school students attend.

2) Public Forum - No coin flip- sides are determined by the tabroom, with pro side starting first and con side speaking second (and last) -- There may be a coin flip to determine sides in post-prelim rounds but the pro side will still always speak first.

3)No disclosure of decision to the debaters please, for reasons particular to national qualifiers (this is also true of any post-preilm rounds- or "run-offs"- that may occur.)

 4) Plans and counter plans are specifically banned in both LD, and as usual in PF

  5) In PF, judges will assign one score to each team, rather than individual scores to each debater. 

6) No low-point wins in either LD or PF  Points may, however, be tied.

7) FIVE minutes of prep per team in LD and PF
