Festival/Competition Rules

Rules and Regulations

1.Students may only cross enter in three events per section. Students entered in Congress may only enter in Sections A and B.

2.Competitors may not enter contest rooms unless accompanied by an official tournament judge.

3.Official tournament judges will consist of high school competitors, teachers and volunteers.

4.A concession stand will be provided for all students. Food and beverages (including candy) may not leave the cafeteria.

5.Stereos and radios may only be played in the cafeteria or specific competition rooms. Radios are not allowed in the hallways during the tournament. Students wishing to practice should do so in the cafeteria, assuming that the volume level is reasonable and not distracting.

6.Competitors are expected to behave in a mature, respectful manner. We reserve the right to disqualify any student who demonstrates inappropriate behavior.

7.Competitors are expected to remain in the cafeteria when not competing or watching other performances.

8.All AISD policies regarding vandalism etc. are in effect and our district police will handle any violations of these policies.

9.An adult sponsor must accompany competitors at the tournament. This could include, but not be limited to sponsors, bus drivers, or parents/guardians.

10. Albright Middle School is a tobacco and drug-free campus. Any violation of this policy will result in disqualification.

*NOTE:

All participants are reminded to exercise extreme care in the classrooms. Rooms should be left clean and orderly and any desks moved during rounds should be returned to their original position.
