General Information

Academic Events:
- All schools will compete in one division.
- Coaches are requested to help grade objective/tested events.
- Paid graders will be provided in Ready Writing, Spelling, and all Journalism events, so schools will be limited to five (5) entries in each of these events.
- Journalism and Ready Writing will be held in a computer lab. You are welcome to bring your laptops, printers, etc but not required.
- Objective/tested events will be limited to eight (8) entries per school.
- Computer Science will have written and hands-on.
- Math & Science events will be divided into 9/10 grade and 11/12 grade for individual awards but will be combined for the team award.
- Schools will receive blank test copies electronically after the tournament.
- We will have a hospitality room for adults attending the tournament and concession stand for students.

Speech & Debate Events:
- LD will use the Spring UIL topic.
- CX will use the current UIL topic.
- Debate competitors may cross enter in speech events as the schedule allows.
- Debate awards will be determined from 4 rounds. The 3rd and 4th rounds will be power matched.
- Extemp draw will be held 30 minutes prior to the start times listed on the schedule unless otherwise noted.
- Internet will be allowed in the draw room at coach discretion.
- Poetry/Prose documentation will not be checked. Finals will be readers' choice.
- All speech judges/coaches are considered stand-by throughout the tournament. Schools whose judge does not show up for their assigned round will incur the FULL judge fee.
- Video/audio taping of rounds is not permitted.
