Mock Trial Information

This is a great way to prepare for the Youth & Government (YG) state tournament or get your younger teams additional experience. Friday will feature two online rounds judged by collegiate mockers from across the country. These rounds will be preset. Saturday’s rounds will be in-person and power-matched. During the virtual rounds, evidence will be presented through screen share feature on Zoom. Competitors will use the Texas YG case packet, Rules of Evidence, and Rules of Procedures. All times for opening statements, closing arguments, and examinations will adhere to YG times. We will be using the 10-point ballot used at YG District 5. Student judges who would like additional experience of presiding may participate in the in-person rounds, but they will not be evaluated.
