Please describe your personal note-taking during the round
I keep detailed notes throughout the roundThis will be my 4th year judging at Nationals. I have judged every speech and debate tournament in our district and at state competitions since my oldest child started competing 5 years ago. I have more than 25 years of experience in communication -- as a presenter, advisor, coach, and instructor. I believe in the importance of allowing young people a space to practice active listening and respectful discourse. I am a fair and respectful judge who knows the rules and applies them to NSDA's standards. I can correctly identify abusive debate behavior and distinguish it from respectful clash.
Note: if you wish for your pronouns to appear the debaters you judge on text/email blasts, log into Tabroom, click Profile at top, and add them in the Pronouns field.
