Additional remarks:
Hello. My name is Dr. Lara Karpenko and I'm faculty in English at Carroll University near Milwaukee WI. I did both LD and Policy debate in high school and am sincerely excited to be here.
I would define myself as a tabula rasa judge. I come in to each round fresh and with no prior assumptions or preferences. In short, I wait for you to prove your case. If you want me to vote according to a set of paradigms, explain why I should vote that way. Nothing is off the table (other than hate speech.)
I also expect to hear evidence and want everything to be well proved. I'm OK with some speed but generally dislike spreading.
I can't wait to hear you debate and look forward to learning from you and being convinced! :)
