Event Description:
- The Maximum time is six minutes (30 second grace period)
- This is a reading event. Students write and perform their own material.
- Competitors reflect on a historical event of their choosing in first person voice. The individual should deliver the chosen historical event as if he/she were present at the time and place it occurred.
- Narrators may represent actual historical actors or imagined witnesses.
- Presentations should include vivid descriptions of the event, as well as commentary on its personal and historical impact. Competitors will be judged on fluency, vocal variation, articulation, audience engagement, believability, creativity, and clarity.
- No costumes or props are allowed
