Event Description:
The speaker has 7 minutes with a 30s grace period in which to prepare and present aspeech without consultation of prepared notes (other than the note card prepared during the 7 minutes). During preparation time, it is advised and appropriate for the judge togive one minute time callouts (6 minutes remaining, 5 minutes remaining, etc.). After thespeaker reaches 7 minutes, the judge shall indicate grace time has begun.
