Event Description:
Like other traditional platform speeches, students are to present a memorized 8–10-minute speech. A homily should expound two to three points from a biblical verse or passage in order to inform or persuade. Judges will evaluate presentations based on content, coherence, organization, pace, and creativity.
*To aid students with time management, it is best to have the verse or brief passage memorized.
