Event Description:
Dramatic and Humorous Interpretation (2 separate events)
8 Minutes Maximum
Individual event; memorized piece. Performance must include a student-written introduction. Piece may be a cutting from a play, novel, or short story. Performers should use their voice, facial expressions, and body language to create characters. Performers must stand, but movement is limited to a three-foot space. Performers may not use properties. For Humorous Interpretation only: the piece should contain a minimum of 50% dialogue.
