The District Tournament for all events other than Congress will take place on March 15-16 at Caddo Magnet HS in Shreveport. We thank our host Kasi McCartney, faculty, staff, and administration for opening up their doors to us.

Tabulation procedures
We are adopting the NSDA pilot rules in all events. Policy, LD, PF, and BQD will have 4 preliminary rounds, and all entries with a 3-1 record or better will advance to a single elimination bracket to determine the top 2 (top 1 in BQD). All speech events will have 4 preliminary rounds, and we expect to break straight to finals in all speech events. If you want more details on how events will be tabulated, we strongly urge all to read the pilot rules which can be found on the NSDA website.

Entry restrictions
Students may double-enter with the following exceptions:
No student may enter two team events
No student may enter both USX and IX
No student may enter two different debate events (Policy, LD, PF)
If a student is entered in Big Questions Debate, they may enter no other event at the March tournament.
Note: Congress does NOT count towards one of the two events one may enter.

Each school may enter up to 4 contestants per event (except for BQD, for which there is no limit).

The total number of entries across all events (except for BQD, which does not count towards your school limit) is determined by your chapter strength. When you log in and begin to enter contestants, the total number of entries you are permitted should appear on the right side of the screen. Your chapter strength may grow in the next few weeks depending on points you submit. The last day to enter points for the purpose of adding to your school's chapter strength is March 8.

Judge Information
Schools must bring 1 judge for every 5 speech entries or fraction thereof.
Schools must bring 1 judge for every 3 debate entries or fraction thereof.

Required NSDA Forms
All schools must completed a signed School Consent form. Once you register for the tournament, there is a tab that reads "NSDA Forms". Click on the tab, print the School Consent form, sign it, and bring it with you to the tournament.

Any student who is in at least two events including Congress must complete a Single Entry Letter of Intent form. This may also be found on the NSDA Forms page. This must be turned in at registration on Friday. If a student qualifies in a team event and an individual event, they must attend the National Tournament in the team event unless both partners qualify and prioritize the individual event on their Single Entry Letters of Intent.

Entry Fees
Entry fee is $10 per person per event in addition to a fee of $25 per school. The school fee will help defray Caddo Magnet's costs for hosting.

Schools that did not pay their Congress fees will see those fees on their invoice as well. If schools did pay their Congress fees, your invoice should reflect that.

Entry fee checks should be made payable to Isidore Newman School

Money owed to the NSDA must be paid by the end of registration on Friday, March 15. Checks for money owed to the NSDA should be made payable to the National Speech and Debate Association but may be brought to registration.
