5.3 Hired Judging
The Tabroom.com hired judge exchange is live now. We will accept judges on the exchange as often as we can. We suggest that schools use it first, before attempting to hire judges from the tournament.
That said, some judging is available to hire from Truman Highschool. We would much prefer your judges than your money.
Policy rounds are hirable for $30 per round or $90 per team.
LD double-flighted rounds are hirable for $30 per round or $90 to cover two debaters
Public Forum judges are hirable for $90
Congress/ Speech judges may be hired for $100
5.4 Penalties
The penalty for a school judge failing to report to a preliminary debate/Speech round is $25 a round missed.
For an elimination round this penalty is $50. This includes when a judge is obligated
to the tournament for judging and fails to report a scheduled round even if a replacement judge is secured.
Reminder that speech/congress judges are obligated through the entirety of the tournament.
Policy/LD/PFD judges are obligated through the first two elimination rounds, and 1 round beyond a school's elimination from the tournament.
