Fees & Deadlines

Entry Fees:

Varsity Lincoln-Douglas: $100 (online)
Novice Lincoln-Douglas: $50
World Schools: $50
debateLA Challenge: $150

Hired Judge Fees:

Hired judge fees are charged if you have requested to hire from the tournament to cover part of your obligation. 

Varsity Lincoln-Douglas: $75 per uncovered round
Novice Lincoln-Douglas: $175 per uncovered entry
World Schools: $175 per uncovered entry
debateLA Challenge: $350 per uncovered entry

Missing Round Fine:

Missing rounds are different from hiring judges. Missing rounds are not pre-arranged. The missing round fine is $100 for every round an obligation is not met during the tournament. Please be cognizant of the deadlines to hire a judge so any obligation you have to fill doesn't get converted to a missing round fine. WE DO NOT WANT TO FINE ANYONE. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE COVERING YOUR OBLIGATION BY THE DEADLINE.

Deadlines:

Entries: We have rolling entries, but beginning on Thursday 12/30 at 9:00am we will begin letting paid-entries beyond school-caps off the waitlist.. 

Judges:  Judge names entered online -or- hire requests due on Friday 1/7 at 10:00pm. 

Fees Frozen: Friday 12/31 at 9:00am. This is the lowest your fees will be. Please make sure you have all of your judging obligation taken care of by this time. Even if you drop from the tournament, you will owe these fees.
