Dear Colleagues, Judges & Students,

The Durham Academy Speech & Debate team welcomes you to the 8thAnnual Cavalier Invitational and the 4th Annual Cavalier challenge.

This page serves as our main resource for information. Please be mindful of information posted and/or linked here.

-The tournament offers six preliminary rounds in all divisions of Lincoln-Douglas and Public Forum Debate.We will break all winning records (4-2 or better).

-The tournament offers four preliminary rounds in all speech events.For events with 60 or more competitors, we will clear to a Quarterfinal Round. For events with 24 or more competitors, we will break to a Semifinal Round. For events with less than 24 competitors, we will clear to a Final Round.

A common theme of our invitation, our communication and our tournament - based on the language and implicit assumptions therein - is that you are a guest of Durham Academy and its coaching staff and, by attending the tournament, you are agreeing to adhere to our guidelines as a condition of participation in the Cavalier Invitational.
