The Chapin Speech and Debate program would like to welcome you to the 2022 Chapin Husky Tournament. The tournament will be IN-PERSON at Chapin High School on October 21st and 22nd, 2022. We will be offering the complete set of events in IE’s and LD, CX, PF, and Congressional debate. If any events fail to meet qualifying numbers, then the event will be dropped.

Chapin will be providing Boss Chicken on Friday for Coaches and judges.  If you would like to order Boss Chicken for your teams, please contact Emilie Barraza at Boss Chicken (915) 541-8224 or by email at ebarraza@bosschicken.com to place orders for your team.  Ms. Barraza will have the orders delivered to Chapin for either Friday or Saturday. 

Congressional Debate will be debating the following pieces of legislation #11-17 (Prelims), #18-23 Semis, and 24-30 (Finals) of the TFA Fall 2022 Docket.

Please refer to the schedule for event times and cross entry rules. All cross-entries are at the student’s own risk. If a student does not make their round on-time they may be dropped, regardless of the reason. Out-rounds will be paneled only if we have enough judges available

We will do our best to accelerate the schedule if/when possible, so please pay close attention to the postings and updates.
