Our Mission

Helping Children Become Better Thinkers, Speakers, & Leaders

Our Purpose

The American Debate League offers a comprehensive program that offers Public Speaking, Debate, and Leadership skills to children from 3^rd-12th grades.

Our program serves to develop their own voice through both oral and written communication. We facilitate this by enhancing and developing children’s public speaking, literacy, creative and persuasive writing skills. It also helps to develop confidence, mutual understanding, and respect for all people and for the diversity of ideas. These skills also encourage children to develop leadership skills. The power of public speaking, debate and leadership is a lifelong skill and will serve our children well in any endeavor they choose to pursue as adults.

To receive live tournament updates, alerts and have direct communication with our debaters, parents and staff, we will be using the SLACK APP

JUDGES: Please arrive between 8am-8:20am and report directly to the Judge's lounge.

7:30-8:30 AM - Coach ONLY Check in (check in for debate pairings, ballots, and troubleshooting). You will receive a call from our staff to check in- please answer your phone. Tabroom Changes will not be accepted after 8:40am)

PUBLIC FORUM DOUBLE FLIGHT SCHEDULE (All Times in Eastern/NYC Times)

8:00am-9:00am All debaters and coaches report to the cafeteria at your designated table

8:20-8:50 am Breakfast served

On-Site Registration closes at 8:40 AM (PERIOD)

9:10-9:30 am Welcome ceremony

9:40-9:50 debaters report to their debate rounds

10:00am-11:00am Round 1 Flight A (Flight B report to the Cafe)

11:10am-12:00am Round 1 Flight B (Flight A report to the Cafe)

12:00pm-12:50pm Round 2 Flight A (LUNCH FOR FLIGHT B)

1:00pm-1:50pm Round 2 Flight B (LUNCH FOR FLIGHT A)

2:00pm-2:50pm Round 3 Flight A (Flight B report to the Cafe)
