Salado UIL Symposium

2023 — Salado, TX/US

Salado High School Presents the Salado UIL Symposium

In-Person at Salado High School on October 10th and 11th 2023

We cordially invite you to attend the Salado UIL Symposium. All events will be held at Salado High School. Tuesday, October 10th will be a purely instructional day for students. We will offer instructional sessions for all events (Interp, Extemp, Congress, LD and CX). For LD and CX, we will offer a session for novice and experienced debaters. Novice students will be given beginner packets for debate.

On October 11th students will participate in a traditional UIL invitational tournament. We will offer 4 debate rounds and 3 IE rounds.

Schools may elect to only participate in one of the two days if they so choose.

When registering for the event be sure to be mindful of Instructional Events (October 10th) and Tournament Events (October 11th). All Instructional Events have the word instructional in front of them.

We will post hotel information on the tabroom page.

*** Salado may also open October 10th up for academic events as well, but those conversations are still in their infancy. Stay tuned for updates regarding academics. ****

We will offer all traditional UIL speaking events (CX debate, LD debate, Congress, Persuasive, Information, Prose and Poetry. These tournaments are intended for schools or teams that prefer "UIL style" forensics.

We will be using tabroom for registration and balloting.
