Entry Fees and Judging

Entry fees are as follows. There is no school fee

- Congress: $45

- Policy Debate: $80

- Public Forum: $100

- Lincoln Douglas: $60

- Speech Events: $30 (Duo: $45)

Judging Requirements

Schools are obligated to provide judging under the following ratios, rounding up (no half judges).

- Policy: 1 judge per 2 entries

- LD and PF: 1 judge per 3 entries

- Speech and Congress: 1 judge per 5 entries

Judging Obligations

Judges in Speech/Congress are obligated for the entire tournament.

Judges in Debate events are obligated two rounds past their furthest advancing team (thus, minimally to the second elimination round on Sunday).

Schools must have the proper number of judges available for each round!

Hired Judging

A limited number of hired judges may be available. Please place requests through tabroom, but do not stop searching for judges until we approve your request - money does not judge rounds, so someone has to find a physical person for all those judge obligation spots!

When possible, fees for hiring are:

- Debate: $150/entry

- Speech and Congress: $45/entry

No school may hire their entire judging obligation. You will have an adult present, so you will provide at least one judge.
