Behavioral Expectations
Please share this information with your students, judges, and any other members of your entourage.
We believe that tournaments should be exciting, fun and positive experiences for everyone. Because of this, we expect everyone to act appropriately at all times. Students, judges, coaches and parents who do not act in a manner that is appropriate for an educational setting involving high school and middle school students will be asked to leave the tournament and not return. Some examples of behaviors that we view as detrimental to the tournament environment include, but are not limited to:
Sexual/Gender Harassment
Sexual/Gender Discrimination
Bullying
Yelling or overly confrontational behavior towards others
Religious Harassment or Discrimination
Ethnic/Racial Harassment or Discrimination
If you see or experience behavior that you believe to be harassing or discriminatory please contact Dr. Walts or a member of the tab room.
A faculty or staff member must be present on campus during the competition for all institutions.
Hockaday is a tobacco/nicotine free campus. Violation of this policy will result in disqualification and/or removal from the tournament. Hockaday is a firearm and weapon free campus. Violations of the policy will result in school disqualification, removal from the tournament and reporting to law enforcement.
We expect everyone at the tournament to act in a professional and proper manner. Student should refrain from risky, outrageous or problematic behavior. Judges should use healthy boundaries for their interactions with students and adults. We will disqualify or remove individuals who engage in behavior that the tournament director believes fits within these categories.
