School Judge Policies and Procedures

School Judge Policies and Procedures

*Unless it is otherwise communicated to us, we will assume that all school judges who are entered to cover a school's judging obligation in an event will be available to judge every round of that event at the tournament. Exception - debate judges on Saturday are not obligated to judge more than one round beyond their school's elimination.

*If your school judge needs to leave early, or come late, or miss an entire day, and this conflict is communicated to us in advance, your school will receive a prorated partial judge credit. Example - you enter a judge to judge PFD. They can only judge on Saturday. Since they are missing the first 2 of the 8 scheduled rounds for that event at the tournament, your school will still have a 50 dollar missing judge fine (6/8ths of the original 200 dollar judge fine will be covered).

*Your school must cover it's entire first judge owed in an event before your school will have any entries get off of the waitlist for that event.

*If your school judge is not able to judge a round at the tournament that they are assigned due to a circumstance that was not communicated in advance to us, then we reserve the right to charge up to a 100 dollar missing judge fee per round missed.

*We reserve the right to pool judges for speech events if they are entered to cover Congress judging obligations but cannot judge the event due to school entry numbers in Congress.
