Event Awards

In individual events, all finalists will receive awards. In duet events, both partners will receive awards. In readers theatre and lip sync, each team will receive a single award.

In Congressional Debate, all finalists will receive awards.

In Lincoln-Douglas and public forum debate, students reaching the quarterfinal round will receive awards.

In world schools debate, members of the teams reaching the semifinal round will receive awards.

Sweepstakes Awards

At a minimum, team sweepstakes awards will be awarded to the top three teams. Sweepstakes points will be awarded as follows:

Individual Events

First Place = 15 points

Second Place = 12 points

Third Place = 10 points

Fourth Place = 8 points

Fifth Place = 6 points

Sixth Place = 4 points

Seventh Place = 2 points

Eighth Place = 2 points

Congressional Debate

First Place = 15 points

Second Place = 12 points

Third Place = 10 points

Fourth Place = 8 points

Fifth Place = 6 points

Sixth Place = 4 points

All Other Finalists = 2 points

Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Public Forum Debate

First Place = 15 points

Second Place = 12 points

Non-Advancing Semifinalist = 10 points

Non-Advancing Quarterfinalist = 6 points

First Place = 15 points

Second Place = 12 points
