Policy Debate will use the NSDA/NFHS 2024-25 topic -- Resolved: The United States federal government should significantly strengthen its protection of domestic intellectual property rights in copyrights, patents, and/or trademarks.

LD Debate will use the NSDA November/December 2024 topic -- Resolved: the United States ough to adopt a wealth tax.

PF Debate will use the NSDA November/December 2024 topic -- Resolved: The United States should substantially reduce its military support of Taiwan.

No novice topics will be used in any division.

WSD will follow the scaffold and TFA Constitution recommendations. We will break to TFA points for elimination rounds. Elim 1 will always be the first elimination round, whether that is quarterfinals, semifinals, or finals, and so on.

WORLD SCHOOLS DEBATE MOTIONS:

Round 1: This House regrets the dominance of the two-party system in American politics.

Round 2: Impromptu motion

Round 3: This House believes that the environmental rights of future generations supersede the economic interests of current generations.

Round 4: Same as round 3, opposite sides.

Quarters (if needed): This House prefers conditional foreign aid to unconditional aid.

Semis: Impromptu motion

Finals: This House believes that the acquisition of startups by large corporations does more harm than good.

Note: If no quarterfinal round is needed, semis will debate the quarters topic and finals will be an impromptu round.
