Parliamentary Debate Info/Live Doc

Hi Everyone!

We are very excited to welcome you to the La Costa Canyon HS campus this weekend for Parliamentary Debate! Just a few quick notes before the tournament start:

1. There will be no physical, in-person topic announcement or Parli Prep space. All topics will be announced prior to the start of the flight/round on a live doc.This Live Docalso will have the schedule and round and flight-specific times and topics as they are announced. 2. Due to space constraints, we will be double-flighting Parliamentary Debate.Please make sure your judges and competitors are aware.
3. Parliamentary Debate competitors will have a 5-minute grace period from their published round start time to be in their rooms.If competitors are not in their round rooms by the end of the 5-minute grace period, they will forfeit the round.
4. The La Costa Canyon Invitational Tournament policy for competitors who are double-entered in debate and speech events is that competitors who are double-entered are responsible for getting to their rounds on time.For the handful of Parliamentary Debate competitors who are also entered in Extemp, there will NOT be additional Extemp Prep Time given to students if our Debate Rounds are running late.
5. All Parliamentary Debate preliminary rounds will take place in the 500's Building on campus.
6. We are only able to run as fast as our slowest judge!Judges, please remember that you can edit your ballot comments and feedback after submitting the win/loss and speaker points to us. The quicker you get the win/loss and speaker points to us, the quicker we can pair the subsequent round.
