The 3nd Annual “All Saints Way” Open

ALL SAINTS EPISCOPAL SCHOOL

3222 103RD STREET

LUBBOCK, TX, 79423

February 8th, 2025

All Saints Episcopal School in Lubbock, TX, cordially invites you to the 3nd Annual All Saints Way Open!

Oh boy! Here we go hosting again! My school, administration, team and myself are all so excited to see all of your lovely faces back for another round of the ASWO. As always, we host with love in our heart for this community and an intention to make this as easy and fun a tournament as possible. This year we have the added distinction of being the very last regular season TFA tournament of the region and we plan on taking that into account for our theme. Please consider coming for some of the reasons I have listed below:

1) We work very hard to run on time and get you on the road.

2) We will have awesome food, hospitality rooms, and snacks all over the place.

3) We have fun and creative trophies. This year we will also be awarding a small entry champion in addition to overall sweepstakes and the best performers awards!

4) Music will be playing and there will be games available to keep your non-advancing kiddos entertained.

5) We have developed a reputation as having a super enjoyable and memorable event with a lot of creative/innovative tweaks. Come be a part of that.

I will be consistently emailing with more info, but below you can find the basic information and I will update it as we get closer. Please come and get a slice of Lubbock hospitality. The All Saints Way is our school motto and it speaks of love of learning and love for each other. We work very hard to make you feel just that. See you in February!

Below you will find more details!

1)We will use the TFA rules and constitution for all events and their formats. Feel free to use UIL scripts for IE's, but know there are no specific categories.

2)Though we are using a lot of hires and volunteers, we ask that each school provides one judge that we can call upon. We are not going to charge judging fees for not having more than one, but failure to provide a judge if asked will result in the removal of your entries from the tournament. Each judge should be available at least one round past their last entry standing.

3)We will make our best attempt to panel semi-finals and final rounds. We do not plan to do so for quarters of any events and possibly finals of non-qualifier events such as prose and poetry.

4)We reserve the right to enter a few of our own competitors, this is to both help with numbers, help our own team, and give our MS kids a little experience.

Event Info:

Extemp: Both FX and DX will be ran in separate patters. Feel free to enter students in both! We will likely release topic areas for each round closer to the tournament.
