Dear competitors,

You are invited to the FTY Spring Invitational for middle schoolers on April 19th! This tournament will be online with no judges required, and there’s only a $5 fee per competitor, which you can pay via Venmo to christinezhang01. We want to provide an opportunity for middle schoolers with limited experience to dip their toes in the water, so any experience is welcome!

The format consists of the traditional impromptu rules, consisting of 7 minutes of combined speech and preparation time. No internet searches or use of generative AI is allowed throughout the duration of each round. The tournament will be run on Zoom, with participants separated into breakout rooms with their respective judges.

Competitors will receive cash prizes starting at $25, $15, and $10 for the top three as a base; we will augment these amounts based on our entries.
