Eligibility Rules

This tournament is open to all novice OR 9th grade students (who are not yet competing in varsity).

Novice is defined as your first year of competition in the event you are competing in. "First year" is defined first academic calendar year when began first competition, unless the student has not reached an elimination round, than the second year of competition.

9th Grade is defined as 9th grade or younger. Varsity competitors who meet this description should sit this one out, but JV students may still compete.

Eligibility does carry over between debate events, but does not carry over from speech.
