Hey y'all, I'm Zaiana
I've been a policy debater for about 5 years now and am currently an open division debater at Charlestown High School in Boston Massachussetts.
In terms of speeches, I'm good with speed but I need you to be clear on tags if you want me to flow you correctly and if at any point throughout the debate round I feel like you're mumbling and not actually saying words then I'll stop you and ask you to speak more clearly.
During cross examination, I prefer that debaters look at me instead of at each other. I know that a lot of the debaters that are reading this know why I'm saying this, but because I want my paradigm to be clear for everybody during Cross things can get a little heated and I feel like when debaters look at me it relieves some of the tension. Yeah!
I'll be blunt when I say that I like organized debates and when debaters don't sign post I get annoyed. I also get annoyed when debaters give me a roadmap before they start speaking and then their speech doesn't follow their roadmap in the slightest way. In my opinion that kind of defeats the purpose of giving a roadmap In short please sign post and for the love of all the things that you love follow the road maps that you give.
OKAY!!! Now that I've told you all of my technical preferences let's get into the things that I'm most likely to vote for... this is probably going to be the shortest part of this long ass paradigm that took me forever to write for like no reason.
I will vote on what you tell me to vote on. I don't have any preferences and I don't really care about what arguments you bring into the debate, but you need to tell me what the arguments are saying and why you're winning them. I don't like having to fill in blanks for debaters so I shouldn't have to do it at the end of the debate.
My email is zfalcon2@bostonk12.org if you have any questions or if you need to add me to an email chain Thanks!!
