Novice Elementary Informative Speaking

Event Description:

Informative Speaking is a 5-minute presentation written and performed by the student. Informative requires students to balance that content with delivery and style. Students in Informative must be articulate, engaging, and smooth with their vocal and physical delivery. The event's purpose is to inform and educate the audience on a topic of significance.

Students at the elementary level will NOT have visuals.

Material: The speech must be the original work and writing of the contestant. Any age-appropriate subject matter may be used, but the information must be factual. Sources and quotes must be identified. Personal references should be identified. NOTE: NO visual aides are permitted.

Time Length: 5 minutes with a 30 second period
