Event Description:
Overview:
Competitors will receive a prompt related to societal, historic, political, and popular culture. Competitors will then be given 20 minutes to prepare a 5 minutes speech. Conducting research during the prep time to prepare for speeches is allowed and students are expected to cite their sources to support their argument.
Additionally, all speech and debate events will follow PHSSL rules - which can be found at https://www.phssl.org/documents-forms/
