On behalf of Eastside High School and the Eastside Speech and Debate Team, we are pleased to invite you to the 4^th Annual Eagle Invitational on Saturday, February 8, 2020.

The Eagle Invitational is a qualifying tournament for the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions (NIETOC to be held May 8-10, 2020 at Frank Dobie HS, Houston, Texas.

Bolded events are eligible for NIETOC bids.

The Eagle Invitational will operate as a traditional, four-round tournament and offer competition in the following events:

Speech

• Impromptu Speaking (Novice and Varsity)
• Expository Speaking
• Declamation
• Original Oratory
• Extemporaneous Speaking
• Informative Speaking

Interpretation

• Novice Reading
• Storytelling/Children’s Literature
• Programmed Oral Interpretation
• Dramatic Interpretation
• Humorous Interpretation
• Duo Interpretation
• Prose/Poetry Interpretation

Debate

• Public Forum Debate (Novice and Varsity)
• Lincoln-Douglas Debate (Novice and Varsity)
• Congressional Debate

Schedule

Registration: 7:30 - 8:30

Round 1: 9:00 -10:30

Round 2: 11:00 - 12:30

Lunch

Round 3: 1:00 - 2:30

Round 4: 3:00 - 4:30

Awards Ceremony: 5:30
