LC Anderson Trojan Classic

Dear Colleagues,

The LC Anderson High School Speech and Debate Team, Booster Club, coaching staff, and Senior Leadership cordially invite you to Austin for this year’s Trojan Classic at LC Anderson High School. Please join us in the beautiful Northwest Hills from Friday, September 23 to Saturday, September 24th for a weekend of fun, fierce competition, and our world-famous Hospitality Room. The Anderson Speech & Debate Team and our wonderful Boosters take pride in providing excellent judging and a welcoming atmosphere at the Classic, and this season is no exception. We again look forward to providing an educational, equitable, and competitive atmosphere. 

Some exciting aspects to our tournament include:

  • Novice Extemp prelims and semifinals will be about United States Foreign Policy; finals may additionally use US Politics, Social Issues, and Economy.
  • Debaters have the ability to cross-enter 
  • $10 IE fees
  • We will use the September-October Varsity LD topic for Novice LD
  • Novice Public Forum and Novice Policy Debate
  • One free World Schools Debate entry per school

World Schools Debate Resolutions:

Round 1:  This House opposes the use of NFT technology for investment purposes.                                                        Round 2: Impromptu                                                                                                                                                              Round 3: This House would implement fairness doctrines on broadcast news media with significant audience reach.                                                                                                                                                                                        Round 4/Finals: Impromptu
