Elim Day Announcements

If you aren't staying at the tournament hotel (Westin Park Central) drop by the executive boardroom (tabroom) and I can give you a parking pass so you won't have to pay for parking. Also, taking over/unders on how many folks go to the Marriott (should have sent out a reminder email about that last night)

Breakfast is being served in Salon E. Another group has food out in front of some of the other meeting rooms. Try to direct your people away from that and to us in Salon E.

Top 15 Speaker Awards will be available for you to pick up in the exeuctive board room once the doubles are underway.

IF you need a power strip for the room where your debate is happening drop by the executive board room and there is a box of them on the conference table. You can just take one.

Doubles will be blasted at 7;25 followed by electronic flips, etc. If there are issues come to the executive board room.

If you are available to judge extra rounds beyond your commitment let us know.

Thank you for your interest in the Heart of Texas Invitational. We will begin competition on Friday morning and conclude Sunday evening Oct. 13-15, 2023. For 2023 HOT we will have two in-person events VCX and VLD. All other events will be online. We will offer PF, WSD, NCX, JVCX, NLD, and JVLD - all of these events will be online. NCX and NLD will be Saturday and Sunday only. NCX is a limited argument (packet) event. See the NCX - Rules and Schedule for more information.

In addition to individual events fee there will be a charge for each person who attends the tournament in person to offset our hospitality costs. We will provide breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the day on Friday and Saturday. Initially, your online entries will also be charged this fee but I will go through and remove those. If I miss one that shows up on your invoice just let me know and I'll remove it.

We are excited to announce that we will be returning to the Westin Park Central for our tournament hotel and VCX and VLD elimination rounds will be hosted at the Westin on Sunday. Please stay at the tournament hotel if you have in-person entries.

We do not accept independent entries.
