Welcome to Katy ISD Novice Night #1 for the 2023-24 school year!

This tournament is only open to schools in Katy Independent School District. It will be hosted in person at Seven Lakes High School on January 19, 2022. Any other entries will be deleted.

Topics:

PF and LD will use the September/October 2023 topics. No novice topics will be used.

PF: Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its military presence in the Arctic.

LD: Resolved: The United States ought to guarantee the right to housing.

WSD:

R1 Impromptu

R2 This House opposes lifetime appointments to the federal judiciary.

Congress:

Congressional Debate will be limited to the following bills from the Fall 2023 TFA Docket, and they shall be debated in this order: 11, 14, 13, 15, 12. Individual chambers are welcome to table legislation if they wish to skip it or come back to it later. All bills must have at least 1 speech in affirmation or negation before the previous question may be moved.
