USC Trojan Invitational
2024 — Los Angeles, CA/US
3. UDNC Qualifier Schedule
UPDATE: FEBRUARY 23rd, 2024: Qualifier Bracket and Ranking Sheets available for viewing here.
Qualifier Division: Double Elimination Bracket
A double elimination bracket is a format in which teams must lose twice to be eliminated. There are no preliminary debates - all debates are elimination rounds. This means all rounds are flip for sides (except for side locks).
Double elimination brackets are broken up into a Winner's Bracket and a Loser's Bracket. All teams start in the Winner's Bracket with an undefeated record.
Losers of matches in the winners bracket drop into a the Loser's Bracket and play another loser to see who advances in the Loser's Bracket. Losing in the Loser's Bracket results in elimination.
Losers of later rounds in the winners bracket feed into later rounds of the losers bracket.
It is advantageous to continue winning as long as possible in the winners bracket because losers have more debates to win in order to qualify.
The top team in each bracket will be our UDNC Qualifiers.
