2024 HARLINGEN HIGH SCHOOL SOUTH TFA & NIETOC TOURNAMENT

"The Ooky Spooky Speech Spectacular"

Join us in person on Saturday, October 26th, at Harlingen High School South, Harlingen, TX, for this one-day tournament.

Tournament Details:

Section A- FX, DX, NX, DUET, PO, NPO
Section B- DI, DUO, OO
Section C- HI, PR, NPR, INFO, POI, RM

Debate: LD Debate, CX Policy Debate, Congressional Debate

We are excited to resurrect a former UIL event: Record Mime (RM)!

Record Mime: A fun and interactive event where teams of 1-5 students showcase their creativity by lip-syncing to their favorite songs. Participants select a school appropriate song, practice their lip-sync and choreography, and perform in rounds. It's a lively celebration of music and expression, offering students a chance to entertain in a supportive environment. Up to three chairs and minimal costuming are allowed, and students should bring their own device and speaker for amplification.

Participation Guidelines:

• Students may enter one Debate and one Extemp event. Cross entry in interp events are allowed at the student's own risk.
• An adult sponsor/judge from each school must be available throughout the tournament to judge and support as needed.
