The Chapin Speech and Debate program would like to welcome you to the 2024 Chapin Husky Tournament. The tournament will beIN-PERSONat Chapin High School on Nov 8th and 9th. We will be offering the complete set of events in IE’s and LD, CX, PF, and Congressional debate. Chapin students will be permitted to compete.

The following will be the resolutions in each debate competition:

·Policy Debate will be debating the 2024-2025 Resolution-Resolved: The United States federal government should significantly strengthen its protection of domestic intellectual property rights in copyrights, patents, and/or trademarks.

·LD Debate will be debating the November/December NSDA Resolution-Resolved: The United States ought to adopt a wealth tax.

·Public Forum Debate will be debating the November/December NSDA Resolution-Resolved: The United States should substantially reduce its military support of Taiwan.

Congressional Debate will be debating the following pieces of legislation from the TFA Fall 2024 Docket.

Prelims: 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 (in that order)

Finals: 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 (in that order unless the chamber chooses to rearrange it using proper procedure)
