Invitation: We are pleased to invite you to Beaver Battles, held in person at Beaver High School on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
Registration is now open!
Events:
Speech events will include Oratory, Informative, U.S. Extemp., Int'l Extemp., HI, DI, POI, Duo, Storytelling, Poetry, SpAr, Character SpAr, TV News Anchor, and Panhandling.
Debate events will include CX, PF, LD, BQ, and Old School Congress.

8:00 a.m. Individual Events Round 1
8:45 a.m. Extemp. Draw

11:45 a.m. Lunch (Extemp and Policy Students are encouraged to pack a sack lunch)

5:30 p.m. Awards Ceremony
Awards: Our hand-crafted wooden "medals" will be awarded six-deep. In addition, our famous chewed-off beaver log sweepstakes trophies will be awarded to the top three Big Schools (4A-6A) as well as the top three small schools (1A-3A). But most importantly, back by popular demand is the Best Dam Beaver Award, presented to the student who receives the most wins in the most events at the tournament (students must be registered by their coaches in the BDB category to be eligible to compete).
Fees:
Student Fee $5.00 per student entry
School Fee $25.00 per team
Payable by credit card, school P-card, or by check during registration Saturday morning, based on registration numbers at Friday deadline. Make checks payable to "Beaver High School Speech & Debate."
Judge requirements:
1 judge per five i.e. event; 1 per four teams ld/pf/cx entries.
Please fill judge requirements; penalty of $50 per judge-forfeiture round.
Student Films:
We will also continue our tradition of including a welcome film in the opening ceremony, and a student film in the final awards ceremony.
CUSDC 4: The event is part 4 of the Central Utah Speech & Debate Circuit. However, everyone is invited to attend!
