Event Description:

IMPROMPTU

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Speakers wait outside the classroom until called; all speakers & observers remain in room until round is over.

2. Judges should hand signal @ I, 2, 3, 4, 5 minutes elapsed time, up to a maximum of 5:30.

3. Speakers may walk during the presentation; however, continuous “pacing” should be penalized.

4. Each speaker has two minutes to prepare his or her presentation; no notes or use of the topic list allowed.

5. Presentations must extend to 1 minute minimum; otherwise, the speaker should be dropped one rank.
