INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Editorial Commentary is a speech taking a position on an issue of public concern.

2. Speech must be speaker’s original work; delivered from seated position as if “on camera” for a TV station.

3. The speaker delivers his or her speech to the designated “camera;” eye contact with Judge not applicable.

4. Speakers have exactly 1:45 to 2:00 for their speech; no grace periods;

5. Speakers over or under the time limits must be dropped one place in the rankings; may not win 1^st place.
