Event Description:

Resolution

• Resolution: Tournament officials will post the resolution to be debated for each round 30 minutes prior to the start of the round.

Sides

• Assignment: Contestants will be assigned sides by the Tab Room.

Evidence

• Research: Students may conduct research prior to the debate and use authoritative references in their speeches but are not required to do so. They may use the internet to conduct research between the posting of the topic and the start of the debate. Materials created during the preparation time, including research, pre-written blocks, and flows, may be used. Contestants should directly clash with their opposition in rebuttal speeches and maintain clear organizational schemes throughout the debate.
